St.George's Library Fund
Recognizing that most Ghanaian children have little or no access to storybooks, St George’s helps to set up community libraries and stock them with carefully chosen books in various fields of study. With the support of the community and local Municipal Assemblies we aim to provide the children with colorful safe reading environments manned by caring trained personnel.
Vision and Mission Statement
To inculcate the habit and joy of reading in Ghanaian children in deprived communities through setting of up of libraries and the provision of skill training, reading and literacy classes for adults.
- The main objective is to instill and inculcate in children aged between 3 – 14 years the habit of reading
- give skill training to rural dwellers and provide literacy classes for illiterate adults and school drop outs.
- We have currently set up two libraries across the country
- One at Kweiman Presbytarian school
- One at Adma Basic school Amrahia in the Adenta Municipality
Who We Are
The Executive Council is made up of experienced professionals with top level experience in psychology, education and corporate leadership.
